Hoffman Tactical SL-9 Details
On the heels of one of the most groundbreaking builds in GunCAD history, Hoffman Tactical has hit it out of the park once again with the SL-9, the natural progression of the Orca system adapted to the most popular pistol caliber in the world.
The design carries the same mantle of engineering quality as its siblings in the SL lineup, cementing Hoffman Tactical’s position as a leading developer in the community.
The SL-9 features the distinctive support rib present on all Hoffman Tactical rifles, ensuring the lower stays rigid during operation, as well as a LRBHO.

3D Printed Hoffman Tactical SL-9 Tech Specs
The design is meant to support any standard AR-9 pattern upper and supports a standard AR-15 lower parts kit. However, the magazine catch and button are notably unused—the lower feeds from any Glock-pattern magazine.
The added supports are designed to replace the standard supports generated automatically by your slicer, and are highly recommended by the documentation.
The file package includes four different versions of the SL-9: the Super Lower and the Basic Lower, both with and without supports. The Super Lower is designed with the Hoffman Tactical AR-9 Reinforcement Kit in mind, while the Basic Lower is designed to use as many commercially available parts as possible.
The files are designed to accommodate PLA+ as a minimum, though the documentation recommends printing the ejector in Nylon for best performance. Durability may vary depending on selected printing materials.
Included with the file package are two separate pieces of documentation; one that covers general information about Hoffman Tactical SL-series lowers, and one that covers the SL-9 specifically.
